A road safety open day will be held in Dumbarton this month.

The event is open to all road users and will be held at the West Dunbartonshire Council offices on Church Street on Saturday, August 25.

Attendees are invited to bring their cars, motorcycles and scooters with them where they can receive a free assessment by an Insitute of Advanced Motorists assessor.

It's hoped the day will help increase drivers' confidence, let them gain new skills and gain some valuable advice.

The day will be held in conjunction with the charity IAM Road Safety, Police Scotland and Scottish Fire and Rescue.
