The demolition of the Aritzan Centre has begun.
The part-demolition of the Artizan Centre began last week as part of redevelopment plans to help save Dumbarton's town centre.
West Dunbartonshire Council successfully applied for Leveling Up Funding in 2021 and was awarded a total of £22.1 million.
To tackle the decline of Dumbarton Town Centre the council agreed to deliver on three key projects including the refurbishment of Glencairn House and the part-demolition and redevelopment of the Artizan Centre which was purchased by the authority in March 2022.

Around £10.1 million of the funding was then earmarked for the Aritizan.
Since the award, a range of preparatory work has been undertaken at the site, with the next steps including developing detailed designs and obtaining planning permission in principle.
