A dance teacher has expressed her "pride" in her students after their success at an international competition.

Victoria Neil, founder of Premier Dance Academy in Dumbarton, recently took pupils to compete at the 2024 Ibiza Championships.

The team won several major honours including two Judges Choices awards, four first-place finishes and the Winner of Winners accolade.

She said: "We are both a competitive dance school and stage organisation.

"We have attended Ibiza previously but this was our most successful event.

"Everyone has put in a lot of effort so it is great to be rewarded.

"Extra classes and private lessons, as well as a whole lot of dedication to the sport, has helped the dancers develop their skills.

Victoria also detailed the close bond she has with the dancers and explained how the school has helped her through difficult times in the past.

"I am so proud of how hard the girls trained every night," she continued.

"They pushed themselves to the absolute limit, giving it all they had and more.

"I have had a really rough year so I really focused on my dance school and creating magic with the girls and it paid off.

"We are more than a dance school and I try to support the girls both professionally and personally.

"We are a family."
