Members from the Dumbarton and Vale of Leven Camera Club captured some breathtaking shots of the aurora borealis over the West of Scotland.
Last night the skies lit up with spectacular flurries of red and green as the streams of colourful light descended across Dumbarton.
The Met Office revealed there was a 'decent chance' of seeing the incredible lights on Thursday, October 10.
The weather service said sightings of the lights, also known as aurora borealis, were likely in Scotland and Northern Ireland, and possible in the north of England and the Midlands.
Gerry Doherty shared photos of the 'incredible' aurora over Dumbarton Rock.
Camera Club member Corrina Lacey was at Loch Lomond Shores where she captured some stunning pictures.
Bruce Mcgeachy pictured the magnificent streams of light at around 10 pm last night.
