Local dancers will be taking to the streets of West Dunbartonshire in a series of performances meant to 'bring light to the winter streets'.
STRUT will be visiting Faifley on Thursday, November 7 and Dumbarton town centre on Friday, November 8 where five local dancers have been drafted in, including a 7-year-old Irish dancer to a 67-year-old man.
The free community project will run from 7.30pm to 8.30pm each night and has been organised by Megahertz and Clifftop Projects.
The Clydebank performance will begin on Waulking Mill Road and will carry down the street onto Watchmeal Crescent.
The Dumbarton performance will begin on the grass outside 21-35 Risk Street and will travel along High Street and end on College Way.
The routines will be choreographed by the dancers themselves and the event is meant to bring 'light and colour and party vibes to the winter streets.'
Lottie Barker, Artistic Director of Clifftop Projects said: “It is always such a joy hosting performances in West Dunbartonshire for people to experience the arts in new and exciting ways.
“STRUT will showcase local talent with the streets we call home as the stage, and I cannot wait to be out dancing with everyone.”
Bex Anson and Dav Bernard, founders of Megahertz said: “We’ve been wanting to bring STRUT to Dumbarton and Clydebank for some time and can’t wait to see these streets alive with dance.”
