A manhunt is underway after a shop was robbed in Dumbarton.

The incident happened around 6.55pm on Tuesday, November 12, when a man entered a premises in the Glasgow Road area.

The suspect made off with a sum of cash after presenting a weapon and demanding money.

Police said no one was injured.

The man is described as white and around 5ft 7ins.

He was wearing a black puffer style jacket, grey joggers, grey trainers, a black beanie hat and had a black covering on his face.

Officers are now appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to come forward.

Detective Sergeant Craig McGarry said: “Fortunately no one was injured but the staff member was left very upset by what happened and our enquiries are ongoing to trace the man.

“Anyone who was in the area at the time and saw anything is asked to get in touch.

"We are also asking for dash-cam footage so if you were driving please check to see if there is something that could help with our investigation.”
