A post office has been temporarily closed at short notice.
Alexandria Post Office has been unexpectedly closed as the postmaster has had to travel abroad at short notice.
The office located at 98-100 Main Street is hoped to re-open by early next week.
Customers are being redirected to Tullichewan Post Office during this time.
A Post Office spokesperson said: “The Postmaster for our Alexandria branch has had to travel abroad at short notice. It is hoped that the branch will re-open as normal by early next week.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused to customers and recommend that they use the nearby Tullichewan Post Office which is accessible by public transport and open long hours seven days a week.”
