The recent chilling story in the Dumbarton Reporter of local woman Pamela Marno and the cuts made to her vital care package are the consequences of the cuts made by the Labour Council.
It is easy to sit and put a pen through a budget line at a meeting but the results for Pamela, who has cerebral palsy, are dire, life-changing and frightening.
Pamela is distraught with worry but that does not concern Labour as long as they can balance the books with deep cuts to public services and jobs.

These cuts will not change under a Labour Government who, like the Tories, believe in a free market system. A Labour Government should tax the rich and big businesses to invest in all our underfunded public services.
As a socialist, I support:
- £15/hr minimum wage for all workers
- Equal pay for women
- Abolition of all zero hour contracts
- Democratic public ownership instead of profiteering privatisation
- Free public transport to combat poverty and pollution
- Construction of 100,000 council houses for affordable rent
- An immediate end to the genocide in Gaza
Flamingo Land, who want to build a resort in Balloch with 90,000 objectors against, have been caught trying to discredit these valid numbers.

They are working with local people on alternatives which would protect the iconic beauty of this area. This campaign to Save Loch Lomond continues to be driven by local people who are determined to have their voices heard as the LLTPA process the application.
