Dumbarton manager Jim Duffy continued to rebuild his squad this week with three new additions and one re-signing confirmed.
Jordan Pettigrew, 19, Conor Scullion, 20, and Ryan Tierney, 21, have all signed up for the 2019-20 campaign while experienced midfielder Kyle Hutton will line up for his third season at the Rock after agreeing terms.
The trio of new faces join Morgyn Neill and Stefan McCluskey in joining the club from elsewhere as Hutton becomes the first player from last season to commit his future to the club - although two further faces from 2018/19 are set to sign on the dotted line for Duffy’s side later this week.

Tierney joins from Edusport Academy after he was released from Premiership side Hamilton Academical in January, with goalkeeper Pettigrew joining up after leaving top flight Livingston. Exciting midfielder Scullion gained a move after being a key figure for junior side Cumbernauld United who finished fourth in the West Region Championship last season.
Speaking to Reporter Sport, Tierney says that he is confident of scoring goals despite the leap from the Lowland League to League One.
And the 21-year-old is keen to impress boss Duffy after hearing good things about him.
He said: “I was at the showcase trials that the PFA put on and Jim was there. He must have been pleased with what he saw.
“I like to link the play and be involved in creating chances as well as scoring goals.
“I think I’m good enough to score goals at this level and if I get a chance then I’m confident I’ll score.
“I’ve never worked with Jim but I’ve played with boys who have and I’ve heard good things so I’m looking forward to it.
“It’ll be a good experience as well to learn from boys like Kyle Hutton who have played at the very top level.”
Following the trio of signings, Dumbarton now have seven players signed up for the 2019/20 campaign, although one of those is Rory Loy who signed a two-year deal last summer and seems unlikely to play again due to an ongoing back injury.
Despite that, Duffy remains optimistic and was glad to get the first player from last season’s squad signed up.
He said: “Kyle will be an important player for us again this season and I am delighted to have him back on board.
“He was a consistent part of the team who performed so well in the later stages of last season and all parties are keen for that momentum to continue.
“It also means that our squad continues to take shape, although of course we still have work to do.”

Away from summer signings and rumours, Dumbarton last week announced news of three open door pre-season friendlies at The C&G Systems Stadium in July.
Dunfermline Athletic, Dundee United and Hamilton Academical will all visit the Rock on July 2, July 6 and July 9 respectively before the Betfred Cup campaign kicks-off at Galabank against League Two side Annan Athletic on July 13.
